Me, Kriza and Ann noticed a sheet of paper about the lecture some time ago. We decided to go there. It began at 3 p.m., so we just had finished our lunch in the school canteen and had gone there.
We took the 193 bus from Budejovicka. The lecture took place in the Mikrobiologicky ustav, which is at the end station of the 193.
There are a lot of facilities there, but we followed some other people and managed to find the right building. We were there a few moments before the official beginning, but the hall was already full. We were happy to find some place to sit on the floor. The secretary of the institute welcomed the lecturer and said they had to reject some groups wanting to attend. We weren't applying in advanced, so we were happy they didn't throw us out.
The lecturer was Mr. Kotyka, a biochemist, rather old, but still very agile. He made a very good impression on me, something like a nice grandfather. Meldath may be interested in fact Mr. Kotyka used to be in charge of IUPAC nomenclature commission.
The lecture itself was interesting and I learned lot of new stuff, for example I know what pyrrolysine is. It's just pity it lasted only one and half hour.
On the way back, we talked with Ann and Kriza about our plans for weekend and about making weird faces on the bystanders.
