In our school, there was a school round of the competition Golden Leaf. When I was younger, I participated several times at the regional round. There weren't any school rounds then, as there wasn't such interest. So now I agreed to the proposal of Prof Ecshlagerova to help her organize it.
There were three teams from our school, of which only one could qualify. There were seven disciplines. Each team could get at most ten points from every discipline. I was coordinating the Ecology discipline.
I must say I was amazed by the knowledge of the "children" (12 to 15 years old). Of course, these were interested in life sciences, else they wouldn't have participated, yet still they knew a great lot.
After all the team from the 4A class won, but I think no one came out ashamed.
