Yesterday, students from Netherlands were visiting our school during their journey to the Czech Republic. They first looked around our school and visited some classrooms. Then prof Vobecka prepared a test about Europe for us. It seemed to me as if we had more factual knowledge. Maybe it's because their school begins at 9.15, while they end as soon as we do.
We were then talking for one hour. It was too little, but at least something (and then we had to write a Geography exam).
Among other things:
Their language is very...grunting...
What surprised me was that according to them almost no one recycles plastic in Netherlands. Paper and glass, ok, but they plastic bottles tend to be rather burned than recycled... Interesting.
