New glasses

After the school, I went with my father to an optician. My glasses had crumbled some three days ago, so I needed to get new ones. Yesterday I went to two opticians, yet no one was measuring sight. I should have come today.
I have 3 and 2.75 dioptries. After the measurement, I was choosing a spectacle frame. It took me a lot of time. First I wanted some glasses looking like those I had had before, yet then there were ones very extraordinary.
They were made of some titanium alloy, being very light and also very durable. Also I liked the shape. I just fear a bit I'll look like an alien - that's the modern design.
What nicely surprised me is that it'd have been done already by Thursday - I expected it'd take more time.
