Today was in hurry. As if we had to learn as much dancing as possible before our next prolonged lesson. That one is going to take place 4th February, so if anyone is interested, just tell me :-)
Lan came even later than usually; when she arrived, she claimed she'd thought she'd had enough time - everything fine :-D
So...we were thoroughly revising round Viennese waltz and Cuban rumba. We learned chacha-like figures in rumba. A bit confusing at first, but then it worked :-) Although to me it seemed a bit unfortunate as almost immediately after we learned a new figure in cha cha - it was a "backwards newyork" I don't recall the right name. Also there was a side step in samba - I more and more realize I probably still don't get the "sense" of samba, I feel I do it wrong way, but just not enough clues to do it better. Oh, and there was also a pivot spin in foxtrot. By this, foxtrot, that I'd always considered boring, picked up an interesting feature.
Meldath and Lan go to Winter School of Math and Physics in February. They should be skiing there as well. Lan told me she hadn't skied before, so I was vigorously convincing her crosscountry skiing is booooring and she should try to get alpine skis - after all Meldath was going to take alpine skis as well... Though I'm not sure how much I convinced her, since I wasn't able not to mention it was very...adrenalinesque? Anyway, probably more than the boring cross countrying...
