Hanka was holding a party at her home. A lot of people came (some 15), but then it turned out quite well. There were Hanka, Bzochi (and "her" David and also Andrej), Vera, Ann, Aja, Luki, Punta, Sada, Cherry, Lada, Vosta and me.
While it's just a man-made holiday, like every holiday (though this may not be entirely true, e.g. Solstice?), for me it meant the end of rather boring Christmas holidays, that I'd spent working on my school work. While I haven't finished it, I hope the effort will translate in less work during the following year. During the holidays I felt quite lonely (though, objectively it wasn't entirely the case, but all in all, I'd wish more company) - this was fully satisfied during the New Year.
If it should be true that how one begins the years, one passes all the year, I'm going to be a happy person. We went out for a while, then again, we played some games - miming was as usually a part of big fun. To me, it seems unfortunate we never brought a game to some end or to an advanced stage.
Hanka felt there was too little alcohol and that it's not getting more "lively" - Hanka blamed it on the lack of alcohol, I'd say some people may have participated a bit more, but whatever... Of course, in the morning a lot of alcohol remained. Hanka overall had rather a bad feeling about it (it seemed to me). She just took her host role too seriously. Me, I enjoyed it a lot, Bzochi claimed she did as well.
We bought a lot of food, and then prepared quite a lot of bread and so and of course, there were big remains, everyone had to take something back home :-)
Hanka lives at Dejvice and from there, around the midnight, it was a very impressive look on the rest of Prague - the whole sky facing us was filled by colorful explosions. It was quite a warm weather - when I went out, it seemed like Spring.
Hanka was also disappointed how early we went to sleep - me, already at 4 a.m. ;-)
