Today, I obtained another two tickets for our maturita ball. Not that it has something to do with the dancing school, but with dancing. Now, just my brother needs convincing, still, I doubt he'd come. What a pity.
We had our dance lesson for the first time in the new year. I feared I'd forgotten everything, but it's not that bad. I danced with Lan and then also with Marketa and Eliska - two girls from my school. They seemed concerned with the end of half-term, thus resulting in a lot of exams. I was feeling relieved - on Wednesday, I write the last exam on the high school, that matters.
Mr. Hes forgot he'd already taught us the partner change in jive, so we were relearning it. Actually, a lot of people were absent the lesson before, so it may have been useful, on the other hand, most people are absenting just too often, so nope, they don't deserve any mercy ;-)
We were told we had to forget the square rumba and instead were going to learn the Cuban rumba. We were told it's nearly the same as chacha (what I've read now, chacha should have been created from Cuban rumba), but instead it appeared to me like that much maligned square rumba. OK, the rhythm was the same, that means nothing.
Then we learned to dance circular Viennese waltz. So far, we'd danced it just on the same place. Now, the same troubles as with polka arose - e.g. congestions and injuring our fellow dancers ;-)
