...better to call it a ball, but that would be too many balls for one dance school, I guess.
It took place in the Congress center, moreover there was quite few people (that said I mean compared to the balls before), so dancing was fine. Sure, there were moments when the floor was very overcrowded, but overall, it wasn't such a problem.
There Kriza, Meldath, Lan and me; I noticed grandpa was there as well :-) Meldath and Kriza stayed together and lot and so Lan and me stayed a lot of time just alone - no matter, at least we could have talked about quite a lot of topics we usually didn't have time to discuss.
Lan decided not to continue in the follow-up dance course. I hope she'll change her mind once more, but that's just up to her. She's very scared of the maturita. It's true that while Math and Physics may be a breeze for her, Czech will definitely prove troublesome. Still, it concerns a little that she's going to dedicate herself almost wholly just to school in next few months. I think it's very convenient to have at least something to distract oneself (not necessarily dancing, just anything). Perhaps, we'll have to take her with us to different actions more often, I just hope she won't be too busy learning ;-)
Meanwhile, I'll probably have to look for someone else to attend the follow-up course with me. Oh, dear readers, if you stumbled on someone like that, would you please tell me? ;-)
Dancing was delightful, I feel that, while far from good, I can dance surely enough not to be too nervous. I was even quite accepting to Lan's various experiments :-)
There was one performance of "some" professional dancers (actually they were 5th in the whole world) - it was some Latin dances. Seemed to me, they weren't dancing, they were just hinting at the dance. Then there was a competition of the best couples in all the basic courses. Some thirty couples started (all were already pretty good) and they were eliminated step by step till there were six left. Those competed even more for the first positions. Wow, it was quite a view!
