University application and more

Today, I spent most of my time at the Physics internship. I've been finding out it's highly "addictive". It may be compared, maybe, with some really good computer games (not that I've played any recently) - I was just sitting, exploring the possibilities, the time was running...and running and so on and on... However as with the games, I feel too much of this (e.g. 8 hours every day) would quickly render me absolutely insane. When I ended there, I was just as if dreaming,  both quite satisfied, but absolutely non-functional.
After having left, I rushed to Matfyz to the registry to bring them my application form. A pleasant lady there took it and confirmed it was probably OK. Normally, people send the application by mail, but it's not that far away and have better feeling by delivering it myself. Also, I got a confirm receipt :-)
The Karlov Matfyz complex however proved much bigger than I'd thought - perhaps because the most was found under the ground. I had a lot of troubles getting to the registry - it's very cleverly hidden :-) I was walking around some computer labs, physics labs...wow.
I applied to Mathematics department. To the mentioned Matfyz. Interesting... I always had troubles saying what I wanted to study next. There was a lot of talking about that with a lot of people, but no one convinced me definitely. Just recently it somehow crystallized out. But it was nothing like any planned decision. Just intuition - or maybe my brain thinking in background (actually that may be the same thing). Whatever. Sure, I can provide reasons why Matfyz and why Math...but the reasons are created a posteriori. Seems a good way of solving life problems - seek out the information, don't bother yourself anymore and when necessary, the desired solution will eventually pop out. Now just the question, if it's the right solution. Maybe, in one year's time, I'll found out I hate Math. But, who would care now?
The last thing - I went to grandma to continue installing Linux. Bad luck, the CD was bad, but I found just after already formatting the disk. However the work is under way, even the corrupted CD managed to install at least something, so next time I come, it'll be enough just to end it. There's no way back now, after all.
