There was yet another cycle-ride today. Hahruska asked me if I wanted to go, so why not? Moreover I hadn't talked with her for quite a while, so I was happy to meet her.
I went by metro, but at I.P.Pavlova, I left, as I thought I had still enough time, and tried making my way to Jiri z Podebrad square. Of course, I got lost, fortunately it wasn't that hard finding the way, as there was a lot of other cyclists coming. I came to the square...so many people!!! Incredible!
The con was that we had difficulties in meeting there, but using modern technology (cell phones), we did it. The ride was ...impressive, there was that many people - as if half of Prague...and the second half was staying in the resulting traffic jam. We went through the city center, deliberately, it was planned this way. I don't know - one of the principles of the cycle-ride is not to be aggressive. Is it not occupying the most frequented part of the city for some 2 hours? On the other hand, cars occupy it all other time...
I'm curious how it'll be portrayed in the news.
