day 4
- afternoon - visit to the medina of Rabat: very decorated monuments, even for Moroccan standards; the administrative center of Morocco - enough money for repairing and reconstructing monuments and eventually buildin new ones; even more European tourists than in the rest of Morocco
day 5
- other people tell me that I eat a great lot; really, or is it that just I eat so slowly? I'll have to watch myself
- lazy vacations - the workcamp program is very lazy, others mostly like it (they expect it from their vacations), I'd love to do more stuff...
- afternoon - visit to the medina of Sale: the city seems more conservative, poorer than Rabat; Medina's narrow streets are very nice, they are not very crowded
- after - a walk on a beach, seeing an old cemetery, now serving as a local landfill - we are told that it's already very old, so why to maintain it?; we also saw an old pirate fortress, out of the main tourist routes - quite neglected, perhaps one of the many pieces of the hidden beauty in Morocco
- a talk about marriage and premarital relationships - marriage as soon as possible (can be divorced); virginity is important; premarital relationships happen quite sometimes, but they must be kept secretly (especially parents mustn't know)
day 6
- visit to a beach - huge waves, thousands of people staying on the shore and waiting for the waves to bring them down :-) quite crowded; the waves are too strong for swimming
day 7 - Friday
- a visit of the national CSM coordinator from Casablanca - a lot of complaints to him on the workcamp; he looks quite competent, but to me he seems a little bit snake-like
- other volunteers leave for the weekend to Chefchaouen or Casablanca, I've been to Casa and am going to visit Chefchaouen after the workcamp, so I'm going to stay in Sale; I'll probably spend the weekend walking around the Rabat medina...
