Weekend at a "bio"orchard

I spent the weekend with the SEM people, working in a bio-orchard.
It took place near Horice, in Mr Plisek's orchard.
Hitchhiking there and back, both was incredibly easy, I went via Hradec Kralove, as there's a lot of traffic from Prague.
The bio-orchard, it's to say it practices organic farming. Mr Plisek has very broad knowledge of his job (he used to work in research institutes), and so he may be able to achieve comparable yields with the conventional orchards - still it's probably much more labor-intensive.
I've eaten organic food before, a few times. Sometimes I could taste the difference (oats), sometimes not. Concerning the apples - those were really really better. I don't know, if it's because of the choice of cultivars or because of the growing conditions. But they were delicious.
