On bike to Krkonose

I went on bike to visit Ann in Janske Lazne. And my decision: never again on bike. Next time I'll choose a different means of transport, be it a train or hitchhiking or whatever.
A few points:

• Ann is doing well, she's just a bit bored. She has less activities than other patients, so she has a lot of free time.


• She is in a children (that means till 19 years) therapy center. It resembles both a holiday camp and a hospital. There is the good mood of people being together but also the feeling of a hospital stems from everywhere.


• The nurses are morose (some of them) and conservative.


• The nature there is beautiful.


• I was sleeping outdoors - nothing better than to be awaken by a frog jumping just 20 centimeters away from your nose :-)


• Ann gave me a beautiful cloth bracelet she had made herself :-))
  


• I got sunburned.


• The biking was exhausting - Janske Lazne are quite a long way from Prague. I'm surprised I didn't faint somewhere on the way.


• I found a meadow comprised wholly of horsetails (=preslicka), at first thinking it's just high grass. Wonderful.
