Visiting grandfather and other stuff

Today, I visited my grandfather after long time.
I went there on skates. I painfully felt the fact that I've been realizing for a while, however especially today, as grandfather lives in Kobylisy. And the fact: Prague is designed for car or mass transit traveling, alternative means of transport are neglected (though the situation may be slowly changing). Skating is pretty hard also because pedestrians consider you as a vehicle and vehicles as a pedestrian...
My grandfather lives in a tower block. He lacks company of people. He owes this partially to his character... He is very talkative. However he tries to compensate the lack of people by weird animals. He currently has a rabbit and now a pigeon has laid  eggs on his terrace, so he started to look after two little pigeons.
He suffers from diabetes mellitus. We were talking about it for a while. I was asking for causes and about heritage of the disease. He told me he didn't know anyone in the family with the disease, but he offered me to take the glucose level test. Well, actually it showed me hypoglycemic glucose level. OK, at least I have an excuse for my cravings for sweet ;-)
He was also telling me a way to Krkonose. Now, I go there tomorrow (to see Ann) by bike, so his advices may come handy. Anyway I'll have probably returned by Tuesday, but till then, I wish you good luck (and, more importantly, you should wish me good luck as well, else I won't be able to ride so far).
