It's quite cold now, so I took gloves (though not any formal gloves, so I put them off before dancing).
I danced with Lan and Petra. Petra studies pharmacy+chemistry on a vocation high school. I asked her if people from the school then continue to VSCHT, she answered some did, yet she didn't want to, VSCHT being too demanding; she'd rather choose some other university, maybe. She danced very well and claimed to like it. She had an interesting perfume scent, it was like some nuts combined with roses :-) She goes to the dance school with her younger brother, which quite surprised me. Whatever... I danced with her waltz and Viennese waltz. Mr. Hes just showed us a finesse in the Viennese waltz, as how to dance in overcrowded place. It was very head-confusing, but fun :-)
Then we learned a promenade in polka, aka Little Red Hood. Fortunately Kriza came in the middle, so she showed us how we were totally messing it. But it helped. We were then practicing after the end of the lesson.
I'm a bit unsure, why the man is supposed to lead. I know, the historical reasons, male dominance etc. Yet, overall it seems to me (and not just me), women dance overall better, so the logic would go the other way. No matter, a lot of women lead anyway, and the assumption of the man leading is mostly just an assumption.
