Today, our Math-Physics seminar was lectured by Mr. Kubat. He's a teacher at Matfyz. Actually not a first lecture from a matfyz teacher. There was a teacher of descriptive geometry two weeks ago. She was very agreeable, but she was teaching a subject, I'm not likely to study.
However, we were told about Mr. Kubat he may be the most unpleasant teacher at matfyz and that he despised girls. In fact, during the lecture, he had some nasty comments, but general, not against anyone in the classroom. Actually, he praised Lan (difficult not to do that, as she is without doubt the brightest). Overall, it seemed he had a lot of opinions, hard to agree with, but it didn't hamper the lecture (the lecture wasn't outstanding - as was the one with the lady - it was a good standard, though). What I didn't like was that he seemed to consider us - as high school students - rather inferior and seemed careful not to say anything difficult.
Actually, it's also doubtful that I ever meet him, as he teaches mostly other teachers.
Btw, have a look at his aikido "biography". It also mentions something about his family (remember what Ms. Bednarova told us?).
