New maturitas

Today, we participated in the pilot round of New maturitas. It's organized by the state corporation Cermat, that was specifically created in order to prepare the comprehensive maturitas for all secondary schools - both the elite gymnaziums and casual vocation schools (ended with the maturita exam). It's been already working for a few years, but the new maturita is still being put off and the quality of the tests doesn't really seem to grow.
Apart from the centralization of the school system, I can provide some other drawbacks, directly from my experience :-)
Today, we participated in Czech and English exam, others (Math, Civics, French, Spanish) following next days for those who'd chosen it. Other subjects have been canceled (Physics, History, Biology.......), for some complexity reasons or whatever.
Probably in order not to be too complex, both the Czech exam and English exam consisted of just some 4 (respectively 2) tasks - it was the composition part of the test (in the real round there's going to be also a didactic and an oral part). The tasks were on one hand quite primitive (e.g. in English: write about what are you going to do during vacation; in Czech: write down a brief report consisting of all the information about an organization mentioned, based on what was said in the (three-paragraphs-long) text), on the other hand, it was quite blurry how generally/specifically we should handle any question, and all in all - what were we supposed to do. Sure, you did it somehow, but then there reportedly are strict guidelines how to correct the test and what if you understood the two-sentences-introduction differently from the author?
As mentioned, the topics level was almost insulting (to some of us really insulting), the second test - the English one - was even boycotted by a few of us, as they considered the first one too banal. Meldath, Vosta, a42 and me even resorted to burning the tasks paper after we finished ;-)
There was also Czech TV in our school, so we immediately spitted out our grumblings - Meldath made quite a performance, and he really attracted the reporters when he started talking about the blurriness of the tasks :-) You know, journalists...
Poor lower grades, for they'll receive this stupid exam (in addition to the normal school maturita).
