This day, I was the one coming late. I had had troubles with my shoe laces ;-)
We practiced a lot, as there'd be the prolonged lesson this Sunday. Still, we learned the pivot spin (the one from foxtrot) in jazz as well. Also, Hes decided that being rumba that similar to chacha, we'd just learn one more figure from chacha - the "hand to hand".
It seems to me more and more it's enough to just know enough figures and then you just have to follow the rhythm and you may create a dance of your own liking for every moment ;-)
About the prolonged lesson - again there was a tournament. Today, it was just a preliminary round of course. So me and Lan applied as well - after all, why not, else we'd be sitting and watching the competitors. Sure we didn't fare any well, but at least we could dance. We seem to always lose the tempo - but perhaps not because we would have absolutely no sense of it, but rather sometimes we lose ourselves somewhere and we don't catch it up.
We talked with Lan about a friend of her from Vietnam - she's already studying a university there. At least I concluded that the delay Lan had suffered in here may have helped her better decide her favorite subjects of study and so... But after all, how can one assess those "what if" scenarios? On one hand it may have been a drawback in one way, on the other hand there are so many experiences she'd relived instead... Who knows?
As I thought, the snow is already thawing at great speed, so, bye bye sledding :-( But it gets warmer again :-)
